Digital Story Telling at The Start

After our first lesson of Digital Story Telling I am very excited about what this class may hold.  It seems like this is really first class that I feel is one that I can immediately use.  There is so much to be done with digital stories and it is a great way to differentiate for many of the SE kids and even the regular Ed kids.
I have run into one concern and that is with the Presentation Zen book.  When I read the reviews when purchasing the book, I was amazed that people seemed to be dissatisfied with the book and what it had to offer.  I am concerned as thus far I have done the readings and they have been a bit dry, sometimes helpful, but dry.  We will see how this turns out.  I also ordered the electronic version of the book, so we will see how that goes for me!
Overall I hold high hopes for this class.  It is defiantly something that is interesting to me, but more importantly it is a new topic.  I feel like this is one class that will not be a repeat of the others, or the information that we have already discussed.  Hopefully we will find that to be true.
Also on a side note, I love the idea of the photos over time......I love photography and the meaning of pictures and how they are displayed!

  1. I also have a digital version of Presentation Zen and mine does not have page numbers. Our instructions are to read to page 25 for this week and it's kind of a challenge to guess what that means.

I'm not a photographer and remembering to take a picture every day is a challenge. Do I really have 28 straight days worth of creativity in me? I could just take a picture of the pen on my desk and post it, but I don't really have the innate interest or the eye for the art. It should be an interesting expansion of our skills.
