Well the summer sure when fast as did the end of last school year. It is amazing to think of all the changes that are happening in life. No matter how hard we try......things just don't seem to ever slow down! With that said technology is the same way.
Who is excited for the Apple conference today...the one about the new Apple products...Me! I need a new Iphone. My goal this year is to be organized and I need a phone that works. My old 3g is not really working any more and is very slow. I have been working on updating my calendars to go the techi route. Setting work, home, and Baby appointments and dates are all things that seem to be working out for me so far. I hope to see the new Iphone soon to see if I am able to get things to work...for work. Our email system has an app that I have been using but it is slow and glitchy on my phone. I have it on my Ipad and it works great...this tells me its probably the phone.
Another thing I am excited about this year is our 2nd grade team here at Parkway has a Google site. Created by a team member with input and help we have all of our important docs, calendars, plans, and links all in one place. The trick right now is getting our non-google friends to remember how to get on. In our summer hours we used the site and google docs to simultaneously work on documents for our math curriculum. Teaming up and working together and storing in one safe place has worked great! Rumor has it the district is looking into google as an option as the local high school just switched its staff over to google. Lets hope we can go district wide and stop loosing our important info in the current email system!!!
